Now we know as the bride you’ve got a lot on your plate with the lead up to the wedding! We also appreciate that you may not have the additional brain power to come up with unique gift ideas for your girls, so we’ve done the thinking for you, read on.
Let’s start at the beginning. It’s quite a trend these days to ‘propose’ to your bridesmaids as a way of asking them to be a part of your bridal party. With that being said here are a number of cute gift ideas that can be used as a bridesmaid proposal.
Giftbox - These are something you could create yourself with goodies such as self-care items, flowers or chocolates etc. Or you could pre-purchase a box already made for you, like the example below.
Cookies - let’s face it, the way to everyone’s heart is food! Make your own sugar cookies then use this stamp to ask your lucky ladies!
Balloons - Pop the question, quite literally! Create your own secret message on a piece of paper and then hide it in a balloon. Fill the balloon with helium (some glitter or confetti can also be quite fun) then deliver the balloon with a safety pin attached asking your BFF to pop the balloon!
Wine - Grab a bottle of your girl's favourite wine then add their name and personalised message onto the bottle. There are online businesses that will do this for you and print and send you the label to affix, otherwise create and print your own using Canva and your local printing store.
Ok so the bride tribe is assembled and you’ve confirmed who will stand beside you on your very special day. When it comes down to the business end of all your planning, it is often customary to give a small gift to the girls in your bridal party. These don’t have to be anything overly extravagant, it is all about the sentiment and a token of your appreciation for their support. Here are some ideas that you could consider.
Personalised robes or PJ’s - these can be a really cute gift as you can wear them the night before the wedding and then getting ready together in the morning. They also make for cute photo opportunities together in your matching outfits.
Jewellery - This could be whatever you want it to be. We quite like the idea of fine link bracelets with the bridesmaid initials on it, that can be worn on the day. Something you could add to this is a personalised mini jewelry box also.
Personalised Champagne Flute - Chances are there will be a few cheers being shared between you and your BFF’s so why not make it memorable? Personalise champagne flutes with each bridesmaids name or with the title bridesmaid for everyone in your bridal party.
Personalised tumblers or keep cups - For those who prefer water (or coffee) over wine, these are a great option! I mean everyone could do with drinking more water, and who wouldn’t want to to sip on these!
Tote bag filled with goodies! - This could be similar items to the proposal box. You could fill this with things like candles, face masks, moisteriser, fluffy socks, scruncies, perfume etc. These could even be personalised to each girl, which goes a long way to show your appreciation.
Now, of course, not all gifts need to be physical, giving a voucher for an experience is also a nice thought. Think about experiences your girlfriends may want to do after the wedding is done and dusted to treat themselves!
