Why have your Hens in Airlie Beach
It’s laid back with a little bit of luxury, and a whole lot of fun. You can spoil yourselves with lavish resorts, day spas and swim-up bars, rest up and relax on the beach, or party long into the night at one of the town’s many bars, pubs and clubs.
Although small in size, Airlie Beach is a hens party destination with a lot to offer. You can choose to have an action-packed adventure, or settle in and enjoy the slower pace of life. Hamilton Island is only an hour away by ferry, providing even more opportunities for fun on your hens party adventures. From here you can explore the Great Barrier Reef, Whitehaven Beach and the other attractions of the Whitsundays. Back on the mainland, there is plenty more to discover within a short drive of Airlie Beach, like chasing waterfalls at Cedar Creek Falls or bouncing on over to Bowen.
Top Tips and Ideas
Start your day bright and early at the Airlie Beach Foreshore Markets, which spring to life on the Esplanade every Saturday morning. The Markets are held just a few minutes walk from the Airlie Beach Lagoon - a free tropical swimming pool perfect for a refreshing dip before lunch (and cocktails) with the ladies. You’ll find a strip of dining options along Shute Harbour Road, along with other restaurants and bars dotted along the waterfront and throughout the town. If you really want to get away from it all, take a day trip and escape to beautiful Hydeaway Bay. You’ll feel like you’ve landed on a remote tropical island as you soak up the sights from the long sandy beach, or toast to your hen at the beachfront restaurant.
